The 25-year-old woman who caused a fatal accident on Saturday morning while driving the wrong way on the A19 in Ypres, in the Belgian province of West Flanders, may have deliberately hit an oncoming car!
In Belgium, an accident decimated a family who were going to an amusement park this Saturday, October 5, 2024. The father (63 years old) was killed and the mother (40 years old) is still between life and death. Their two twin daughters are injured, one of them could remain paralyzed. Their car was hit on the motorway by a phantom driver. The 25-year-old woman driving the wrong way ended up in an intensive care unit, but she is on the mend. This young woman, originally from Menen, was arrested for involuntary manslaughter and attempted involuntary manslaughter: based on her testimony, the road expert’s report and the conversation with one of the two girls, the public prosecutor assumes that the woman intentionally caused the collision, especially since she had already been involved in another accident the same day. The day before the tragedy, on Friday, she had appeared before a police court for driving under the influence of narcotics.
