With due respect, as bad and as poorly performing as the government is, the labor movement as currently constituted is worse. The efficiency is worse.”
Adebayo added that; for the labour movement to have a strong and larger base, it must ensure that more people are gainfully employed. According to him, is the only way it can be said to be truly representative. ” The organized labour is a subset of Nigerian political class.
They don’t represent the workers.
I am not saying that to insult the present leadership. Before you can be a member of Labour congress or TUC, you must have a job. And there are more people without job than people with job. So, if you are unemployed, you are not a member of any labor union because it’s only for workers. So ,the challenge we are facing is how to put more people in the workforce.
