Alvaro Morata in disguise! AC Milan star reveals how he sneaked into Derby della Madonnina at San Siro before joining Rossoneri this summer

Speaking to Sky Sports Italy, he said: “I can’t wait to play the derby. Now I can say for the first time. I have already come to San Siro to watch a couple of derbies as a fan, wearing my hat and dark glasses. Nobody realised I was there. I wanted to breathe the atmosphere. Even from the outside, you realise how much this game means.

“I can’t wait to score and win a derby to make Milan fans proud. Inter are highly competitive. They have a great team, and we must play with our hearts. You can make a bad pass or miss a chance, but you must give your all on the pitch. The attitude can’t be wrong. I’ve learned from many coaches and teammates. I think I can still play for four or five years. With a high level of experience, I feel ready to give my all, which is good for me.”

  Morata has settled in well at Milan and fans will be delighted to hear the striker say he is expecting to play for at least four or five more years. He scored on his debut in the 2-2 draw against Torino but has since been sidelined with a muscle injury. Morata’s dream to play in a derby against Inter may come true soon if he can get fit, with the two teams set to play on September 22.

  WHAT NEXT FOR MORATA AND MILAN?

  It has not been a great start to the season overall for Milan, who have picked up just two points from their opening three games. Morata’s absence has left a hole at the top of the pitch and they are already facing the prospect of a must-win match against Venezia on September 14.
