WHAT HAPPENED?

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

There are currently no plans for the Red Dragons to move out of their historic home, the Racecourse Ground. Earlier this year, the brand new Kop Stand was given the all-clear after lying in disrepair for years. But with the club hopping up the English pyramid with its sights set on the Premier League, there’s certainly a chance that Hollywood co-owners Ryan Reynolds, Rob McElhenney and the rest of the Wrexham hierarchy will consider building a state-of-the-art new facility in the future.

    • DID YOU KNOW?

In July, Wrexham’s home ground went down in the history books, receiving a Guinness World Record for the 147 years of international football played there. The Racecourse Ground is the oldest stadium on the planet that is still used for international fixtures.

      WHAT NEXT FOR WREXHAM?

The Red Dragons have made a strong start to life in League One after winning promotion from the fourth tier last season. They’re currently top of the league after five games; however, this weekend they face their sternest test yet with a trip to much-fancied West Midlands side Birmingham City.
