The Nigerian Army has officially announced the commencement of its 2025 recruitment exercise for the 89 Regular Recruit Intake for both Trade and Non-Tradesmen and women.
This announcement has opened the door for interested Nigerians to apply online for the available positions, with specific guidelines and requirements outlined by the military authorities.
According to the announcement, applicants must meet several basic requirements, including being Nigerian citizens by birth.
All candidates are expected to possess a National Identity Number (NIN) and a Bank Verification Number (BVN) slip.
Additionally, applicants must demonstrate that they are medically, physically, and psychologically fit, as per the military’s stringent standards.
The recruitment is open to single individuals with a minimum of four passes in their secondary school subjects, including English Language.
Furthermore, applicants must be free from any criminal charges from any court of law in Nigeria.
Those interested in applying for the tradesmen and women positions must also have a Trade Test/City and Guilds Certificate in addition to the required West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
The recruitment details specify that the minimum age for non-tradesmen and women is 18, with the maximum age set at 22 years.
For tradesmen and women, the age limit is extended, with applicants required to be no older than 26 years as of June 30, 2025.
In addition to these requirements, applicants must also possess a valid birth certificate endorsed by the National Population Commission (NPC), local government, or a hospital. Alternatively, an age declaration may be accepted.
Applicants are also required to submit a valid state of origin certificate, which will be reviewed as part of the application process.
