The Good Bunny Foundation, led by Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny, began on Tuesday the distribution of musical, sports and painting items and instruments to thousands of children and young people in various events that will take place this week in Puerto Rico, as part of the Christmas celebrations.
“We are excited to once again bring the spirit of Christmas joy to our children and young people while motivating them to pursue their dreams, whether in music, art or sports. We are here to support them and be complicit in their aspirations,” said José “Che Juan” Torres, director of the Good Bunny Foundation, in a statement.
‘Beautiful tradition’, as the event is called, was celebrated this year for the fifth time and began with an event created through an alliance between the foundation and the Boys & Girls Club of Puerto Rico organization, in the municipality of Aguas Buenas, in the center of the Caribbean island.
As in previous editions, the foundation distributed songbooks; sweets; musical instruments such as keyboards, guitars and timpani; sports equipment such as boxing gloves, balls and bats; and art supplies such as sketchbooks, canvases and paintbrushes.
In addition, hundreds of children and teenagers enjoyed lunch, karaoke, face painting, and theater and magic performances by the Agua Sol y Sereno company and Circo Fest.
This year, the new gift will be delivered at various points on the island and at hospitals, homes for children, centres for victims of gender violence and support centres for people with physical problems, reduced mobility or autism.
“It is a great satisfaction to continue promoting values in young people and Puerto Rican traditions, which are so beautiful. We remain committed to our work as managers of their development,” Torres concluded. EFE
