BREAKING: Dangote Refinery reduces petrol price to N899.50k/litre
The goal of the price reduction is to lower transportation costs as holiday activities pick up steam. It comes after a previous drop to N970 per litre on November 24.
The refinery also announced the launch of a special holiday offer in a statement released on Thursday by Anthony Chiejina, Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer of Dangote Group.
The statement claims that customers can purchase an extra litre on credit, supported by bank guarantees from Access Bank, First Bank, or Zenith Bank, for each litre paid for with cash.
According to Chiejina, the price change is a reflection of the refinery’s dedication to lowering the cost of premium petroleum products.
He added that the refinery’s activities represent a major advancement in the fight against inferior fuel imports, which have historically presented health and environmental hazards.
The refinery also expressed gratitude to Nigerians for their continued support and reassured the public of its dedication to easing fuel access and costs during the holiday season.
The statement reads partly, “To alleviate transport costs during this holiday season, Dangote Refinery is offering a holiday discount on PMS. From today, our petrol will be available at N899.50 per litre at our truck loading gantry or SPM. Furthermore, for every litre purchased on a cash basis, consumers will have the opportunity to buy another litre on credit, backed by a bank guarantee from Access Bank, First Bank, or Zenith Bank.”
