McTominay swapped United for Napoli this summer and since then he has been a revelation for the Serie A team. Incidentally, this week former Red Devils team-mate Fernandes shared the gift the Scot sent him – leading the 30-year-old to praise his friend’s start in Italy.
WHAT BRUNO FERNANDES SAID
After posting a photo of a McTominay number eight Napoli shirt in an Instagram story, the attacking midfielder wrote: “[McTominay] the name that conquered the heart of Napoli,” followed by a kiss emoji.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
McTominay made the switch because he was on the fringes at Old Trafford but now he is playing regularly at Napoli. Fernandes, on the other hand, is yet to score for United this season and his side sit 14th in the Premier League table. Despite that, it is clear McTominay and the Portugal star are still good friends after playing alongside one another for several years.
