Former mayoral candidate for Concepción, Camila Polizzi, currently under house arrest due to her involvement in the Lingerie Case, an aspect of the Acuerdos Case, reported having been the victim of harassment by a Carabineros officer, who, according to Polizzi, requested a million-dollar loan from her.
The complaint details that last Wednesday, during a routine visit by Carabineros to verify compliance with his precautionary measure, an officer asked him for money. The officer, who was not the usual person in charge of the control, mentioned that he was having financial difficulties and requested a loan of 20 million pesos.
What seemed like an isolated incident did not end there, as over the weekend the same official reiterated the request through WhatsApp messages . On this new occasion, the former candidate indicated that they would talk about the loan later to try to end the conversation.
Camila Polizzi and the messages with the Carabinero
The conversations between Camila Polizzi and a Carabineros official reveal the insistence of the police officer in asking her for a loan. According to the chats to which T13 had access, the official contacted Polizzi on several occasions to ask for the money he needed.
The first message shows the policeman thanking Polizzi for her willingness and arranging a meeting to discuss the loan. Throughout the chats, he insists that the former candidate help him as soon as possible, highlighting her urgent need for money.
The conversations continued for several days, with the official reiterating his request and asking Polizzi for a quick response. In the last message, the policeman expresses his confidence in her and the need to obtain her help.
Carabineros’ reaction to the complaint
The police institution issued an official statement confirming the complaint filed by Camila Polizzi, indicating that “an administrative investigation was immediately initiated and the facts were reported to the Public Prosecutor’s Office .”
In the same statement, Carabineros said that, while the investigation is being carried out, the official involved was removed from his duties at the local police station.
In addition, Carabineros de Chile reaffirmed its rejection of any act that contravenes legal norms or the ethical principles established for its members.
