Chelsea legend Frank Lampard ‘closing in’ on Championship job as replacement for ex-Man Utd striker after ruthless sack decision

Ex-England international Lampard last filled a coaching post in May 2023, as he brought a dire second spell in charge of Chelsea to a close having returned to Stamford Bridge for 11 games as interim boss in the wake of Graham Potter’s dismissal.

  The 46-year-old has also spent time in charge of Derby and Everton. According to The Mirror, Lampard is being lined up to take the reins at Coventry – with Sky Blues owner Doug King reportedly eager to bring an “established name” into the CBS Arena.
