The Chelsea players were lining up to score as they trounced Everton 5-0 to make it five wins from five. First half goals from Aggie Beever-Jones, Erin Cuthbert and Guro Reiten saw the Blues race to a 3-0 lead by the break, a score that almost flattered the hosts.
Reiten made the difference for Chelsea and was the standout attacker for the Blues, combining well with Sandy Baltimore whose tireless overlapping caused nightmares for Lucy Hope at right-back. Cuthbert and Nusken were similarly strong in midfield, providing a goal and an assist respectively.
Late goals from Wieke Kaptein and Ashley Lawrence added the cherry on top of the icing on the cake, but may offer vital goals in the quest for the strongest goal difference. A day to forget for Everton.
Sonia Bompastor will be delighted with the performance of her side who were completely dominant throughout the 90 minutes. The French coach’s impressive start to life in west London continues as she targets Chelsea’s sixth Women’s Super League title in as many years..

Hannah Hampton (5/10):
Can thank the Everton forwards for a quiet day on her 50th WSL appearance. Did not have to make a single save but some of her passing went a little wayward.
Ashley Lawrence (8/10):
Chelsea did not notice Lucy Bronze’s absence and that is testament to Lawrence’s defensive performance. Scored an effort from the edge of the box to make it 5-0.
Kadeisha Buchanan (8/10):
Her superb first-time cross to pick out Beever-Jones for the opener set Chelsea on their way. Offered a threat going forward from set pieces too as well as being defensively sound.
Millie Bright (7/10):
The captain dealt with everything that came her way and will be happy to keep a clean sheet even if it came against struggling opposition.
Sandy Baltimore (8/10):
An attacking threat throughout from full-back, she rattled the crossbar from distance with a stunning effort and was unlucky to not make it 4-0. Linked up well behind Reiten to wreak havoc down the Everton right.

Sjoeke Nusken (9/10):
A superb performance in the middle of the park made the victory simple for the Blues. Picked out Reiten with a pinpoint cross to add the third goal and put the game beyond doubt.
Erin Cuthbert (8/10):
Scored her first goal of the WSL season with a low effort into the bottom right-hand corner. Was a constant threat from central midfield and deserved her goal.
Maika Hamano (7/10):
The least impressive of the Blues midfielders but a tidy display nonetheless, substituted at half-time.

Johanna Rytting Kaneryd (5/10):
Was up to her usual trickery down the Chelsea right-wing, but with little end product. Will be disappointed to miss what should have been an easy header.
Aggie Beever-Jones (8/10):
Not given any minutes for England over the international break, Beever-Jones responded with a typical centre-forward’s header from Lawrence’s cross. Led the line well in-place of Maya Ramirez.
Guro Reiten (9/10):
The jewel in the Blues’ attacking crown, the Norwegian was dazzling and her goal – a stooping low header – all-but-sealed the win for the Blues.

Wieke Kaptein (7/10):
Curled an unstoppable effort into the top corner to make it four.
Eve Perisset (6/10):
Worked well down the left flank but did not offer as much as her fellow attackers.
Nathalie Bjorn (6/10):
Was everywhere when she came on and hardly misplaced a pass.
Oriane Jean-Francois (7/10):
Played an important part in Chelsea’s fifth goal, setting up Lawrence.
Maelys Mpome (5/10):
Played fine in the closing stages to see the game out.
