In the last few hours, Argentine María Becerra revealed that she was pregnant with Rei and that she was suffering from an ectopic pregnancy , which is why she had to undergo emergency surgery in a hospital in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Through a joint post, María Becerra and Rei gave details of the difficult moment they had to go through. “Hello everyone! We want to take a moment to tell you something important and personal,” they began the statement they released together.
Through a post on her Instagram account, María Becerra and her boyfriend Rei reported that the artist was experiencing an ectopic pregnancy, which is why she began to feel unexpected pain in her abdomen.
“ Yesterday I had to undergo surgery because I was suffering from an ectopic pregnancy ,” María Becerra revealed to her followers. “Fortunately, everything went very well and Juli and I are now at home, recovering surrounded by lots of love,” she added to reassure everyone.
She also shared details about how she lost the baby: “ It was an unexpected moment. I felt very strong pains in my abdomen after finishing yesterday’s rehearsal and we went to the emergency room, where we both found out that the pregnancy was ectopic and with hemorrhage,” she said.
She also revealed the difficult moment they are going through, as both figures longed to be parents and have a baby. She explained that this is still in their plans for the future, as they have plenty of love and a whole life ahead of them.
What is an ectopic pregnancy?
In a healthy pregnancy, the fertilized egg attaches to the lining of the uterus. In an ectopic pregnancy, the egg implants somewhere outside the uterus, usually inside the fallopian tubes.
Often, the first warning signs of an ectopic pregnancy are light vaginal bleeding and pelvic pain. If blood leaks from the fallopian tube, it may cause shoulder pain or the urge to have a bowel movement.
