The National Autonomous University of Honduras (UNAH) has decided to cancel classes nationwide on Monday, November 18, following recent rains in Tegucigalpa.
In this regard, through a statement, the highest educational institution reported that academic activities will be carried out virtually, through distance learning and teleworking.
In addition, UNAH urged students to join in the collection of food and supplies in all regions of the country to later be donated to people affected by the rains.
Normal activities will return to normal when the risk conditions for administrative, teaching and student staff are reduced.
The University of Granada calls on everyone to be alert to official channels in case of any change in decisions.
It should be noted that the suspension of classes also applies to all levels of public education in the country, in Gracias a Dios, Atlántida, Colón, Islas de la Bahía, Yoro and certain areas of Cortés, according to a statement from the Ministry of Education, published on Sunday, November 17.
