Renowned Honduran journalist and influencer Elsa Oseguera sparked controversy again after revealing in an interview that she won a lawsuit in a United States court against soccer player Romell Quioto .
According to Oseguera, the Honduran forward disclosed his private content, which resulted in a legal process that ended in his favor.
“The footballer thought he was in Honduras,” Elsa said during the interview, referring to the difference in privacy laws between the two countries.
Although she did not specify the exact amount she received as compensation, the journalist said it was a “quite juicy” sum.
He also warned bluntly: “If someone does this to me again, I will sue them again.”
The dispute between Elsa Oseguera and Romell Quioto dates back years, when the journalist publicly accused him of taking advantage of her vulnerable state after surgery to record her without her consent and share intimate images.
The lawsuit, filed in the United States , resulted in a favorable ruling for Oseguera, who took advantage of the moment to send a message to the footballer: “I kept the few dollars I had.”
Romell , who at the time chose not to respond publicly to the allegations, has also faced other controversies throughout his career, including acts of indiscipline that left him out of the Honduras National Team.
This revelation generated various reactions on social media, where many applauded Elsa for defending her rights, while others questioned the public exposure of the case. However, the Honduran journalist made clear her position of not tolerating any type of abuse or violation of her privacy.
