In recent days, the comedian and his family had to evacuate their home in Encino to take shelter from the flames that threatened their neighborhood.
Unfortunately, his wife, singer and actress Alessandra Rosaldo , confirmed that the house was consumed by fire.
“Seeing the house that was our home, where Aitana was born, where all the memories of her early years are, reduced to ashes, has been very sad,” Rosaldo said in an interview with Mexican journalist Paola Rojas.
The office was also affected
But the losses did not end there. The offices of 3Pas Studios , the production company that Derbez founded about ten years ago, were also destroyed by the flames.
“They were located in Pacific Palisades, and they were completely consumed,” Alessandra added.

The multiple fires ravaging Los Angeles have claimed the lives of 24 people, with more than 16,100 hectares burned, 7,000 structures destroyed and the evacuation of more than 150,000 people since they began on January 7.
