The Nigerian government has successfully tracked down the escaped Binance executive, Nadeem Anjarwalla, in Kenya following his flight from custody.
Reports indicate that multiple agencies, including the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL), the Nigeria Police Force, and the Kenyan Police Service, are actively engaged in discussions to expedite Anjarwalla’s extradition.
According to the PUNCH, Sources within the presidency, closely involved in the matter, revealed that Anjarwalla, now exposed, went into hiding immediately upon arrival in Kenya.
“We have found him. We know where he is. He is in Kenya, and we’re working with the authorities to bring him back to Nigeria,” the source stated.
Another source disclosed“All hands are on the deck. The government and all the security agencies are working hard in conjunction with the Kenyan authorities and INTERPOL, to ensure his return to Nigeria to face the charges brought against him.”
The EFCC had on Thursday, April 4, arraigned Binance Holdings Limited and two of its senior executives, Gambaryan and Anjarwalla.
Having assumed full control of the case from the Office of the National Security Adviser, the EFCC has detained Mr. Gambaryan and secured a court warrant for the arrest and extradition of Mr. Anjarwalla.
