Frida Maanum avoided the need for hospital treatment following her mid-game collapse in Arsenal’s Conti Cup final clash with Chelsea.
The Norway international crumpled to the turf during the contest at Molineux, leading to the game being delayed for seven minutes. Maanum received medical treatment on the field before being taken off on a stretcher.
According to BBC Sport, the 24-year-old did not need to go to hospital and was able to travel back to north London with the rest of Arsenal’s squad following their dramatic 1-0 win – which was secured courtesy of an 116th-minute effort from Stina Blackstenius.
Arsenal are not due to be back in action until playing host to Bristol City on April 14, with the WSL title hopefuls having reached another international break – with several members of their squad now heading away with their respective countries.
