Earps kept a clean sheet in the recent 1-0 victory for PSG, in reality having fairly little to do during the game against WSL opposition in terms of shots to save. But it was an opportunity for the England goalkeeper to plug into how her new side play in terms of building from the back.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Earps chose to join PSG instead of sign a new contract with Manchester United because, at the age of 31, her desire is to win trophies immediately and she foresaw a period of transition coming in Manchester that couldn’t wait on.

Earps posted on Instagram: “Felt good to get my first 90 for PSG. Good step in our pre-season prep.”
