Meghan Markle reportedly “wished” that Prince Harry would “drop these lawsuits, be happy and live in the moment.”
The Duchess of Sussex “wishes” the Duke of Sussex would stop fighting for taxpayer-funded security, a former Archewell employee tells People magazine . While Meghan “supports Harry 100 percent,” she wants to put this all behind them.
Harry and Meghan live in Montecito, California, with their 5-year-old son, Prince Archie , and 3-year-old daughter, Princess Lilibet. Earlier in 2024, Harry tried to get taxpayers to fund his security, but was denied. The duke plans to appeal the decision in court.
Harry, “determined to protect his family at all costs”
He has also turned to his father, King Charles III, for help as his legal battle continues. “Harry is scared and thinks the only person who can do anything is his father.”
In the recent ITV documentary Tabloids on Trial , Harry opened up about the impact of the media in Britain on his relationships and expressed fear for his family’s safety.
On the July 25 show, he said negative press could put Meghan, in particular, at risk. “All it takes is a lone actor ,” he said, pointing to the “genuine concerns” that explain why he is not bringing Meghan, Archie and Lily back to the UK.
Harry is said to believe that King Charles has the power to restore his security, which a palace source called “completely incorrect.” A friend recently said that dialogue between father and son on the issue has gone from frustration to “complete silence.”
