These rumors were unfounded after users on the X network (formerly Twitter) began to replicate posts claiming the journalist’s death in a traffic accident, facts that are false, since no official media has made mention of them.
In the posts circulating on X you can read: “Mercedes Mila dies in a terrible accident,” after the statement there is a link that directs to a post on the Facebook network with the same phrase.
Is Mercedes Milá’s accident real?
As for the alleged recent accident suffered by the journalist, it is false, however, during 2022, Mila was the victim of a bicycle accident in France, which she managed to overcome thanks to the support of her followers and that of actor William Levy.
In another incident, in August 2023, Mercedes Milá had to be rescued at sea after running out of petrol on her boat near the port of Mahón, in Menorca. Fortunately, she was rescued by a friend and the incident had no further consequences.
Today, Mercedes Milá is still active in the world of television. She has returned to Spanish National Television (RTVE) after more than 30 years and presents a new program called “No se dé qué me hablas” (No Se Dé Qué Me Hablas), where she shares stories about what Spain was like decades ago.
