WHAT HAPPENED?
Coleen has been in the news recently as she joined ITV’s famous reality show ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ The media personality has been married to Wayne since 2008 and has opened up about how the Manchester United and England legend ‘struggled with fame’ at first.

WHAT COLEEN SAID
Speaking to dancer Oti Mabuse on ‘I’m A Celeb’, Coleen said: “All he wanted to do was play football. He struggled with the fame side of it, he hated that.
“If he could’ve just played football and had none of the fame, I think he would’ve been happier within life. He’s made mistakes along the way, but from [age] 16, obviously you’re going to, that’s life. We had to grow up quick, because we were living in the public eye.”
She added: “It has been difficult, but we’re happy now, after all those years… we’re a team.”

THE GOSSIP
Coleen has been very clear about her and Wayne’s relationship progressing strongly despite the turbulence that has surrounded them for far too long. As such, she revealed the Plymouth Argyle boss is a romantic and often writes her ‘little poems’ when he is away from home on the job.
She told her ‘I’m A Celeb’ campmate GK Barry: “Wayne’s always wrote me poems. You know the hotel pads? He was always writing a little poem and putting it in his bag and he’d give it to me when we got home.
“They’re nice to keep but I can’t remember the last time he gave me one… he is romantic in ways, we’re not the lovey-dovey couple in public but little things like that I think it keeps the relationship alive and it’s special when someone’s done something just for you, and the words mean something.”
WHAT NEXT FOR COLEEN AND WAYNE?
Coleen spent her last day before flying to Australia cheering on son Klay as he played for United’s academy team. Wayne has already stepped up, though, and last weekend he was at the Red Devils’ training facility to witness their oldest son Kai play for the academy. Despite having to spend many nights away in Devon each week due to his responsibilities managing Plymouth, he has assured the boys that he will attend as many games as possible while Coleen is in the jungle.
