A pregnant Honduran woman died after being violently pushed by her husband during an argument in Virginia, United States.
The tragic event in which Emma Carolina López Navarro , 36, died occurred in the early hours of Sunday, September 1, 2024, local media reported.
The family dinner, with friends and neighbors, turned fatal when Emma confronted her husband, Javier Hernández Orellana, 47, over suspicions of infidelity.
According to witnesses, the argument quickly escalated when Emma snatched Javier’s mobile phone from him; in his attempt to get it back, he pushed her so hard that she hit her head against a wall.
Emma, in response, hit Javier on the head with a bottle of alcohol. After this, the Honduran woman said she felt an unbearable headache so she decided to go to rest.
However, when her husband went to look for her he found her unconscious and, despite attempts to revive her, she was declared dead hours later by doctors.
He will face the law for killing his wife
Javier Hernandez Orellana has been arrested and faces a charge of second-degree murder .
He is being held without bail and is expected to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on November 7.
