Tropical music singer Lía Crucet, whose real name is Delia Crucet , died this Thursday after losing the battle against a serious illness, which according to the media was bronchopulmonary cancer.
However, it should be remembered that Crucet had been experiencing some health problems for a few years; it was in 2012 that she was diagnosed with uterine cancer and had to undergo surgery to prevent its progression.
While in 2021, his health deteriorated due to pneumonia and a domestic accident that affected his hip and in 2022, he underwent surgery again and in the second half of 2024 his health worsened due to the cancer he suffered from and he finally died this Thursday in a hospital in the city of Mar del Plata.

Lía Crucet turned 72 on August 8 and according to an article in Infobae, she celebrated with a group of fans and her husband and manager, Tony Salatino.
” Lía Crucet celebrated her 72nd birthday with some of her closest loved ones at the health institute where she is hospitalized and which she defines as my home ,” said journalist Luis Ventura via Instagram.
The native of Gerli, Argentina, was one of the figures of the show and her career began in the world of television and theater. Her first years were linked to cinema, but years later she signed with the record label Leader Music and focused on the tropical environment.

She also participated in television programs such as ‘Videomatch’, ‘Pasión Sábado’, ‘Peor es nada’ and the cycles of Mirtha Legrand and Susana Giménez.
In 2006, Crucet appeared in the film ‘Whose Garter Belt Is?’ by Fito Páez, and also performed several times at the renowned Amerika nightclub and at the iconic Plop Party in Buenos Aires.
