“I come to you today as a devastated mother deeply saddened by the allegations made against my son, Sean Combs … It is heartbreaking to see my son judged not by the truth but by a narrative created from lies. To witness what appears to be a public lynching of my son before he has had the opportunity to prove his innocence is a pain too unbearable for words… My son is not the monster we have been portrayed to be . “
Diddy’s lawsuit
After facing a series of accusations last year, Sean Combs, founder of Bad Boy Entertainment, was arrested last month in New York. He has been charged with sex trafficking, conspiracy to commit racketeering and transportation for prostitution.
Although he pleaded not guilty, he has been denied bail and must remain in prison until his trial.
Additionally, the artist could be involved in more than 100 additional civil lawsuits. On October 1, attorney Tony Buzbee announced that he is representing 120 people who plan to file lawsuits against Diddy and his associates for sexual abuse.
Diddy’s attorney, Erica Wolff, issued a statement to US media in response to the announcement from Buzbee’s law firm, saying: “As Mr Combs’ legal team has stressed, he cannot address all of the baseless allegations in what has become a reckless media circus.”
That said, they stated that “Mr. Combs emphatically and categorically denies as false and defamatory any claim that he has sexually abused anyone, including minors. He looks forward to proving his innocence and vindicating himself in court, where the truth will be established based on evidence, not speculation.”
