Lateef was born in Lagos, Nigeria, on February 1, 1986, to Alahaji and Alhaja Judirat Adedimeji. Lateef began his primary education at Ire Akari Primary School in Isolo, Lagos State, and continued to Ilamoye Grammar School in Okota, Lagos, for secondary education. He attended a performance studio workshop in Onikan, Lagos State, for performance training. Lateef honed his writing and acting skills at a Non-governmental organization (NGO) called Community Life Project. He graduated from Olabisi Onabanjo University with a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication.

Lateef Adedimeji embarked on his acting journey in 2007, initially focusing on dancing and attending a dancing school. He later expanded into acting and screenwriting. His acting debut occurred at the age of 15 in various stage roles. Lateef officially entered the acting scene in 2007 when he joined Orisun TV. During his secondary school years, he was selected by an NGO to participate as an informant and counselor in an HIV/AIDS campaign. His responsibilities included educating the public on sexual-related issues and human rights through video content he created and acted in.
He came to the limelight in 2013 after his lead role in the movie “Kudi Klepto”.
