The National Institute of Migration (INM) issued a statement on Thursday reiterating that procedures related to immigration control are completely free for both national and foreign travelers.

This alert is in response to the numerous complaints received, especially during the Morazan Holiday, when different immigration points were crowded with travelers.
The Immigration Department urges citizens to remain alert and report any attempt at improper collection by third parties, reminding them that the management of these procedures should not entail any cost.
