A motorcyclist was seriously injured after colliding with a pickup truck that was driving against traffic on a street near the El Manantial neighborhood, located on the southern outskirts of Tegucigalpa, the capital of Honduras.
The accident, which occurred on October 26, was recorded on video by security cameras. In the clip, the driver of the motorcycle can be seen trying to overtake a bus known as a ‘rapidito’.
Right in front of the bus, a red pick-up truck was approaching in the wrong direction and was also trying to overtake another bus. Unfortunately, the motorcyclist crashed into the car, which managed to avoid the bus and prevent an even bigger tragedy.
The driver of the motorcycle was thrown off and fell onto the pavement. An ambulance arrived at the scene to take him to a medical centre; however, the motorcyclist’s health condition is unknown.
