Nita Strauss has long been a member of Alice Cooper’s band, though the virtuoso guitarist occasionally steps away for other projects. Last year, Strauss exited Cooper’s band for a short period while she played with pop star Demi Lovato in addition to releasing her latest solo album, “The Call of the Void.”
Strauss joined Cooper’s band a decade ago to take the place of outgoing guitarist Orianthi. Earlier this week, Cooper announced that the roles would be reversed for an upcoming tour as Orianthi fills in for Strauss while Nita goes out on her own solo tour.
“When Orianthi moved on to pursue her own career in 2014, we were lucky to find Nita,” Cooper said. “Over the past decade, Nita, Chuck and Tommy have also launched their own projects, and we always try to coordinate our schedule so we can keep the band together, but these shows came up after Nita had already committed to another tour. So I reached out to Orianthi, and thankfully she was available to jump back in, so we’re all really looking forward to doing these shows with her. I’m so fortunate to always have such great musicians to work with.”
Strauss will return to Cooper’s band for more tour dates later in 2025.
