The Belgian had bought the game console for Black Friday at MediaMarkt Wijnegem, allowing her to purchase the PS5 for 370 euros instead of 430 euros. Her surprise was therefore great when she discovered at home that she had actually bought a stone.
That brick, a kind of clinker, was wrapped in plastic film and was in a bag from Lidl. That bag had been tucked between the two protective cartons.
The day after, she and her father went to the shop in question to seek redress and fortunately the manager of the shop believed her. The theft allegedly happened in the warehouse. ‘The stickers used to seal the packaging were still perfectly intact. It was carefully done,’ Sharon told Het Nieuwsblad.
