The Kremlin has again warned NATO about the provocative US military base in the Polish town of Redzikowo. Since November 13, the United States has had a military base for deploying anti-aircraft defenses in this Polish city.
The base is located some 250 kilometers from the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad and more than 1,000 kilometers from mainland Russia.
The United States has deployed a huge arsenal of defenses there to contain a possible Russian attack on a NATO country such as Poland. Moscow sees this as a direct provocation that could have consequences.
Moscow’s statements have prompted the Polish government to take precautionary measures. According to the operational command of the Polish Armed Forces, “all available forces and resources” have been activated.
Among them, the agency adds, are fighter jets, air defense systems, ground defense and radar reconnaissance.
