Policeman sparks an investigation after puffing a cigar while arresting a suspect

 

After lighting a cigar and taking a smoke while making an arrest, a St. Louis police officer has ignited an investigation.

Information surfaced indicating the event happened on Sunday, May 12.

The policeman was straddling a man he was arresting on the ground outside Marquee Restaurant & Lounge when he borrowed a lighter from another officer nearby to light his stogie. This was a whole new level of multitasking.

While the police department doesn’t have very many answers on what made the police officer light up a cigar, they are officially looking into it.

 

The department has launched an internal investigation to “better understand the circumstances of the situation, what led up to the video, and the events that transpired after.”

When a police officer smokes a cigar while making an arrest, it starts an investigation.

When they requested him to remove the individual from the property, the St. Louis Police Department informed TMZ that the officer was performing a second job for Marquee Lounge.
