Biography of Rafa Polinesio
From a very young age, Rafa Polinesio had the desire to be an actor and an artist, however, this was very difficult for him since his mother was a teacher and in schools there was no art subject as such for him to develop.
His father traveled a lot to New York so Rafa had to take care of his sisters, so he had very little time left to think about his dreams.
When he grew up, he thought he should forget about what he liked, which was acting, so he thought it would be good to study architecture, but he discovered the marketing career, which caught his attention much more.
He and some college friends decided to create a YouTube channel in 2010, they called it “Platica Polinesia” (Polynesian Talk), but it didn’t go very well because they uploaded 2 videos in 6 months. In 2011, together with his sisters, he created another YouTube channel, called “Platica Polinesia”, where they made jokes between his sisters.
When he finished his marketing studies, Rafa Polinesio managed to get into a Pizza Hut branch, but due to some conflicts he left. He later worked at Nextel, however, fate had different plans, so he stopped working and dedicated himself to YouTube.
Rafa Polinesio’s YouTube Channels
In 2013 they created 3 other channels that were “Extrapolinesios”, where they upload challenges, tags, crafts, muses where they upload makeup tutorials, hairstyles and more. But Rafa has only appeared 4 times in the videos.

Later, Los Polinesios added musical art to their resume, with their first song called “Festival”, alongside the most exclusive producer RedOne, originally from Morocco.
In July 2019, they released a song again, now called “Gracias”, with which they thanked all their fans for their love and appreciation over the years, this song being just one more of all those they released in the following years.
A few years later, Rafa Polinesio submitted his voice for the role of one of the characters in “Lego Ninjago”, stating that it was a great experience to have lent his voice.
The Polynesians and their involvement with Barbie dolls
In mid-2020, Los Polinesios saw one of their biggest dreams come true when they joined the Barbie brand to launch their own dolls, after years of inspiring their followers through their channels to fulfill their dreams.
The Karen, Lesslie and Rafa dolls were so popular with their fans that they had to make a larger print run, as they didn’t expect their fans to like the dolls so much.
Along with Los Polinesios, they celebrated that they were reaching more than 28 million followers on YouTube. They were also nominated again for the Kid’s Choice Awards Mexico.
