The Center for Atmospheric Oceanographic and Seismic Studies ( Cenaos ) announced the weather forecast for this Monday, which includes light to moderate rains and showers accompanied by electrical activity.
Cenaos explained that the convergence of wind and humidity, coming from the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, will cause precipitation in the northwestern, western, central, southern regions and some areas of the southeastern region.
In the rest of the country dry conditions will predominate; However, despite the threat of rain, high temperatures are expected to exceed 35 degrees Celsius.
In the afternoon, the departments of Choluteca, Comayagua, Copán, Lempira, Ocotepeque, Santa Bárbara, Valle, Yoro, El Paraíso, Francisco Morazán and Intibucá will begin to experience rains with electrical activity.
Temperatures for this Monday in Honduras
Maximum temperatures of 33 °C and minimum temperatures of 25 °C are forecast in the Honduran Caribbean ( Atlántida and Colón ). In the northern area ( Cortés and Yoro ) a range of temperatures between 37 °C and 23 °C is anticipated.
In the central zone ( Comayagua, Francisco Morazán and La Paz ), minimum temperatures will reach 19 °C and maximum temperatures of 28 °C.
The northeastern area ( Olancho, Gracias a Dios and El Paraíso ) will experience maximums of 35 °C and minimums of 23 °C. In the southern zone ( Choluteca and Valle ) maximums of 35 °C and minimums of 26 °C are expected.
For its part, in the western part of the country ( Copán, Santa Bárbara, Lempira and Ocotepeque ) it is estimated that temperatures could drop to 20 °C, although maximums of 32 °C will prevail.
Finally, the insular area, which includes the department of Islas de la Bahía , will experience minimums of 27°C and maximums of 30°C.
