Hurricane Helene has caused havoc in the United States and has already left at least one hundred dead.
While covering the devastating effects of Hurricane Helene, which has wreaked havoc across parts of the United States, Fox News reporter and meteorologist Bob Van Dillen interrupted his live broadcast to save a woman whose life was in danger.
Van Dillen’s crew, based in Peach Tree Creek, alerted him that a woman was trapped in her car due to heavy rain and flooding caused by the hurricane.
As the water level rose rapidly, the situation became increasingly dangerous, threatening to completely submerge the vehicle.
In the broadcast, the reporter said that they had been waiting for the rescue team for several minutes; however, the woman continued screaming and desperately asking for help.
Without hesitation, Van Dillen made the decision to act. His brave intervention was broadcast live, and quickly praised by Fox News hosts, who praised his speed and determination in preventing a tragedy.
The reporter’s heroic action went viral on social media, where several users applauded his work.

Hurricane  Helene left nearly 100 dead  on Sunday afternoon in six states in the southeastern  United States , including North Carolina, where most of the deaths were reported, and the government authorized a “major disaster” declaration to speed up relief efforts.
The latest official death toll put the total at 93 in six states. The worst hit was North Carolina, where officials counted 36 dead; 25 in South Carolina, including two firefighters; 17 in Georgia; 11 in Florida; two in Virginia; and two in Tennessee.
