Roatan becomes the setting for an international film production; Killer Martini , a bilingual (English-Spanish) period thriller directed by Honduran filmmaker Alejandro Irías Leiva and produced by Balam Entertainment. This intriguing story, featuring a multinational and local crew, seeks to highlight the spectacular appeal of the island while developing its narrative.
The project has been in development for over a year and has already begun to assemble its technical team, headed by renowned talents in the international film industry.

Highlighting the participation of Eduardo (Tato) Flores AMC, an experienced Mexican director of photography, a graduate of the London Film School, who has worked on more than 40 feature films.
In addition, he has collaborated in productions such as ” The Legend of Zorro” with Antonio Banderas and Catherine Zeta-Jones, ” Spectre 007″ – James Bond , “Collateral Damage” with Arnold Schwarzenegger, “Babel and Amores Perros” , by the multi-award-winning Mexican director Alejandro Gonzales Iñarritu, among many others with very outstanding works also in the documentary area Discovery Channel, National Geographic and Disney +.
His vast experience promises a visual aspect that will capture the unique atmosphere of the place and the history.
Diana Soler, Production Designer
The production design is by Colombian Diana Soler, who has a Master’s degree in artistic direction from the Higher School of Cinema in Barcelona. Diana has worked on hundreds of projects for film and television and has taught at various Colombian universities.
Among her most recent and notable works are the Colombian series Mariachi Capital , La Cumbre series that can be found on Prime video and AMC, Detective Silvestre (series nominated for the India Catalina Award), Dora the Explorer. In Search of the Golden Sun , Sierra Madre with actor Kiefer Sutherlad and Rosario with Emeraube Toubia and David Dastmalchian, two USA-Colombia co-productions that have not yet been released. Diana will be in charge of giving it life and color as head of the production design area.
Under the direction of Irías and based on the script by his frequent collaborator Matthew Sanabria , Killer Martini is shaping up to be a project that will attract attention both locally and internationally.
This is just the first news about this film that will be filmed on the paradisiacal island of Roatan .
