Ukraine has twice fired American ATACMS missiles at Russian targets. Moscow acknowledges that several missiles hit their targets.
The American ATACMS missiles have a range of 300 kilometers.
On November 23, “facilities” near the village of Lotarevka in the Kursk border region were hit. On Monday, the Ukrainian attack targeted the Kursk-Vostochny airfield.
“Impossible to intercept all American missiles”
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, on November 23, Russian air defenses destroyed three of the five ATACMS missiles fired. In the November 25 attack, seven of the eight missiles fired were reportedly intercepted.
Moscow has promised a tough response to the attack, saying it is already preparing “retaliation.” Recently, Russian President Vladimir Putin threatened to take action against countries that supply weapons to Ukraine.
