Russian actress Kamilla Beliatskaia was enjoying some yoga and meditation on the rocks when a giant wave suddenly knocked her into the sea.
The woman, who had been engaged a few days before, drowned. Only a day later, her lifeless body was found on a beach some 10 kilometres away. The waves reached heights of up to three metres on the day of the accident.
‘There were warning signs on the beach,’ said the head of the local rescue service. ‘During the monsoon season, we constantly warn tourists. Red flags also indicated that it was not a swimming area.’
