A man from El Salvador recounted through a post on the social network how he was the victim of a scam by a Honduran woman , who deceived him with the promise of sending him intimate photos in exchange for $100.
According to the shared testimony, the woman, identified as “Lety” and presumably originally from Comayagua, contacted the complainant on Facebook.
Through private conversations, she offered to send him ‘sensual’ images if the man sent her the requested sum. Trusting her words, the man sent the money, but what he received in return was not what was agreed.
“She sent me photos, but they were images downloaded from the internet, it wasn’t her,” the complainant said in his message. After sending the money, the woman blocked him on the social network, leaving him without a response and with the feeling of having been deceived.
Some Internet users have begun sharing the case in search of more information about “Lety”, in the hope that the alleged scammer can be identified and arrested.
“You tell her or I’ll tell her,” “Applause for Lety,” “Send me 100 and I’ll look for her,” are some of the comments, where users make fun of the situation.
Authorities advise users to be cautious when making any type of online transaction and not to share personal or financial information with unknown persons.
