Many social media users expressed their annoyance with the American healthcare system and made fun of the murder of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson this week.
When United Healthcare Group posted on Facebook that it was “deeply saddened and shocked” by Thompson’s unexpected death, several of them responded with laughing emojis.
“Everyone who worked with Brian regarded him as a friend and colleague. During this trying time, we kindly request your tolerance and patience while we work closely with the New York Police Department. At one point, United’s tweet received almost 77,000 hilarious reactions. “Our hearts go out to Brian’s family and all who were close to him,” the post concluded.
Police are still looking into the murder of Brian Thompson, the CEO of UnitedHealthcare, who was shot dead outside a hotel in New York City early on Wednesday in what they describe as a “pre-meditated, targeted attack.”

The killer is still being sought by police, who are now offering a $10,000 reward for information that results in an arrest. The largest health insurance provider in the country has faced criticism in recent months, even though the NYPD has not yet revealed a potential reason for the murder. It is being criticized specifically for purportedly incorrectly rejecting claims.
The industry was alarmed by Thompson’s death, and as the hunt for the murderer continues, CVS has removed pictures of executives from its website.
The number of commenters on the post was restricted by UnitedHealth Group. But hordes how many individuals are permitted to leave comments on the post. Still visible, though, are the countless comments and responses that individuals have left since Wednesday.

The American People, however they vote, are fed up with the BS corporate private healthcare system,” one person replied to United’s post.

Another commenter wrote: “Justice is something I can enjoy even if I dislike celebrating the deaths of people, including my foes. For people who wish to debate justice, the definition of justice is not found in the law. This man’s death is justice since he oversaw a business that made money by killing people.
“It is murder when you shoot one man in the street. A user on X wrote, “You’re an entrepreneur when you kill thousands of people in hospitals by denying them access to treatment.”

A different user wrote on X: “Today, we mourn the death of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson, gunned down …. wait, I’m sorry – today we mourn the deaths of the 68,000 Americans who needlessly die each year so that insurance company execs like Brian Thompson can become multimillionaires.”
It was acknowledged that some users felt sorry for Thompson and his family.
“His children will always be able to watch the footage of the United Healthcare CEO’s death online, which is the worst aspect of it. A user wrote on X, “There are times when the internet is just plain terrible.”
“What’s wrong with America?” another person said. The United Healthcare CEO is killed. “Thoughts and deductibles to the family” is what some careless people put. Regretfully, my sympathies are not within the network.
