Several major labels reportedly declined to work with Ye due to his antisemitism controversy, opening the lane for smaller distribution companies. The album is currently being distributed by Label Engine. Meanwhile, fans are currently without a promised Vultures 1 sequel as Vultures 2 failed to arrive on its schedule release date. The album was supposed to drop on Friday (March 8) but has yet to appear on streaming services. Shortly after the deadline passed, Kanye West addressed the delay in an Instagram DM to the fan account Ye Fanatics, revealing he and Ty Dolla $ign were still working on the project. “Hi Ye. Will Vultures 2 be available today?” Ye Fanatics asked the rapper, to which he simply replied: “We in the lab.” It’s currently unclear when the album will be released. A third installment, Vultures 3, was previously announced to be coming out on April 5.
