An argument over a minor traffic accident ended in tragedy for citizen Ismael Salinas in Comayagüela.
Ismael Salinas , a citizen remembered for his dedication to work and his love for his family, died tragically after an argument with another driver due to a minor traffic accident.
The incident, which shocked the Honduran capital, occurred on Monday morning near the facilities of the National Autonomous Service of Aqueducts and Sewers (Sanaa) in Comayagüela.
A crash that ended in tragedy
The fight broke out after the vehicles of Salinas and Osman Dagoberto Reyes Romero, a 58-year-old businessman, collided, causing minor damage to the bodywork of both cars.
Witnesses to the incident report that after the minor collision, a heated argument broke out between the drivers. The situation quickly escalated, and Reyes, in a fit of rage, pulled out a firearm and shot Salinas.
Videos circulating on social media show Ismael dying on the sidewalk, while several people tried to help him.
Salinas was taken by pickup truck to a nearby hospital , but due to the severity of his injuries, he died shortly after arriving at the medical center.
The aggressor captured
Osman, who was arrested at the scene after shooting Salinas, tried to take him to a private clinic, but his efforts were in vain, as the victim did not survive.
This tragic incident sparked a wave of indignation among Ismael Salinas’ family, friends and colleagues, who remember him as a hard-working, honest man committed to his family.
“We cannot believe that a simple argument ended Ismael’s life. We demand justice so that the person responsible pays for this crime,” said a relative of the victim.
Authorities are investigating the case, and Salinas’ family is demanding justice for the murder of their loved one.
