According to the Kremlin, the “special military operation” in Ukraine is basically an existential confrontation with Washington and its allies, accusing them of supporting a Ukrainian government described as illegitimate, neo-Nazi and hostile to Russia.

For their part, Kiev and its allies dismiss these accusations out of hand, believing that the origin of the war is none other than the Kremlin’s powerful desire to keep Ukraine under its influence since the pro-European Maidan revolution in 2014 and the overthrow of a pro-Russian leader, says 20 Minutes.
