An exclusive underground bunker, intended for protection against apocalyptic disasters , will open its doors next year 2026 in the state of Virginia , USA.
The final cost of the structure is estimated at 300 million dollars, more than 7.6 billion lempiras, and will be available only to the country’s celebrities and elite personalities .
The company SAFE (Strategically Armored and Fortified Environments) recently revealed plans for the construction of the multi-million dollar bunker called Aerie .
They detailed that it will have robotic staff ; medical care driven by Artificial Intelligence (AI), gourmet restaurants , swimming pools and wellness programs, according to Realtor.
They added that Aerie will operate as a membership club , with 625 seats, at a minimum cost of 20 million dollars , just over 500 million lempiras.
The bunker
The design of the place includes interactive walls, ceilings and lighting with panoramic views that will give its inhabitants the sensation of being outdoors , when in reality they could be 60 meters underground.
The cheapest membership could be afforded by a “moderately successful CEO ,” said SAFE’s director of medical preparedness, Naomi Corbi, while a much more exclusive option, called ” asylum membership ,” would be available by invitation only.
Naomi said the board of directors is still deciding who will have the privilege of receiving this offer , although the company already has thousands of applications from millionaires looking to join.
According to SAFE founder Al Corbi, it will be a sanctuary that will transform the concept of high-end security.
The number of apartments will depend on geographic constraints, but the structure will feature a variety of spaces ranging from individual suites of 185 square meters to impressive multi-level apartments with more than 1,850 square meters .
Corbi said the decision to place the bunker near the White House was purely strategic and not motivated by the changing political conditions in the country.
