South Korean spy services have reported that North Korea is using various means to induce its soldiers to commit suicide in order to avoid capture.

The South Koreans claim that North Koreans deployed on the front lines must commit suicide when they believe they’re going to be captured, at the risk of causing dishonor and reprisals in their families.

South Korea’s National Intelligence Service said the North Korean contingent was suffering “massive casualties due to their lack of understanding of modern warfare, including firing on long-range drones”.

Following the announcement of the capture of 2 North Korean soldiers, Zelenski offered to return the two servicemen held by Ukraine to Pyongyang, in exchange for which Kim Jong-un would arrange for the repatriation of Ukrainians captured by Russian troops with Moscow.

In addition to this message, the president posted a video on his official X profile showing the two captured and apparently wounded North Korean soldiers being questioned through an interpreter.
