Toni Kroos gifted a signed shirt to Sergio Ramos as former Real Madrid team-mates meet up.
Kroos, who retired from professional football after Euro 2024, recently met former Real Madrid colleague Ramos. The duo exchanged signed shirts with each other as the Spaniard shared some photographs from their reunion on social media. In one of the pictures, the players were spotted holding each other’s national team shirts. Kroos was also seen gifting an autographed boot for the defender’s collection.
Taking to Instagram, the former Spain international wrote, “Any legends collection just wouldn’t be complete without one of the very greats, my bro Toni Kroos. As a player, a 10. As a person, an 11. Thanks, brother.”
The veteran German midfielder ended his club career on a high as Real Madrid lifted the Champions League title beating Borussia Dortmund in his farewell game. His international career, however, ended on a disappointing note after Germany went down against Spain in the Euro 2024 quarter-final and crashed out of the competition.
While Kroos’ love affair with football ended this summer, Ramos continues to remain an active player, however, he has yet to find a club for himself for the 2024-25 campaign. The experienced defender has been linked with a move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Orobah and it remains to be seen if he will complete his transfer before the window closes in Saudi on September 2.
