Kylian Mbappe is edging closer to joining Real Madrid

Kylian Mbappe is reportedly set to sign for Real Madrid after informing Paris Saint-Germain he will not be renewing his deal with the club.

The France captain will be out of contract at the end of the campaign having turned down a new offer last summer.

February 26: End of an era

Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique admits his side must get used to playing without their talisman Kylian Mbappe.

The Spanish coach said: “It’s very simple, sooner or later, when it happens, we have to get used to playing without Kylian.

“”When I want to play him, I will, when I don’t, I won’t.”

February 20: Done deal

Kylian Mbappe has agreed to join Real Madrid at the end of the season, according to BBC Sport.

A deal is done for the Frenchman to sign for the LaLiga giants after he informed PSG he would be departing when his contract expires this summer.

And the move could be announced as soon as it is impossible for the two teams to meet in this season’s Champions League.

February 16: Art of the deal

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta says the Gunners would be interested in picking up Kylian Mbappe on a free transfer this summer.

He said: “Absolutely. Why not? If we want to be the best team then we are going to need the best talent and the best players for sure.

“When there is a player of that calibre then we always need to be in the conversation but it looks like [his future] is in a different way.”

Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique refused to be drawn on speculation Kylian Mbappe will leave the club at the end of the season.

The Spanish coach said: “No. I can’t say anything. I am going to try to bring this topic to an end. I don’t have any comments to make.

“The parties involved haven’t yet said anything publicly, Kylian Mbappe hasn’t said anything publicly. When both parties speak, I will give my opinion.”

February 15: This time it’s for Real

Kylian Mbappe has reportedly told Paris Saint-Germain he will leave this summer.

The long-term Real Madrid target is out of contract at the end of the season and expected to move to the Spanish capital.

Now, David Ornstein is claiming Mbappe, 25, has informed PSG that he will not extend his stay with the club.
