A tropical depression could form later this week in eastern Honduras and Nicaragua, climate expert Cesar Quintanilla said , based on reports from the National Hurricane Center (NHC).
Quintanilla explained that if the tropical depression forms, it will move towards the Central Caribbean, so it will not have an impact on Honduras or the rest of Central America.
The NHC indicated, through its account on the social network X, that as of Monday, October 28, the probability of the tropical phenomenon forming is 40%.
“A broad-based low is likely to form over the Caribbean within days and form into a tropical depression late this week or this weekend,” the NHC wrote.
Meanwhile, light and isolated rains are expected in several regions of Honduras on Tuesday, caused by the entry of moisture carried by the winds from the northeast and east, according to César Quintanilla.
Precipitation will be recorded mainly in the eastern region and in some areas of the northern coast.
