The formation of a trough on the surface, together with the convergence of wind and humidity from the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean, will cause light to moderate rain and showers in most of the Honduran territory.
The heaviest rainfall, accompanied by electrical activity, will be recorded in the southern and western regions and in central areas, explained Mario Centeno, a meteorologist at the National Center for Atmospheric, Oceanographic and Seismic Studies (Cenaos).
Precipitation is expected to vary between 20 and 30 millimeters in Choluteca, Copán, Intibucá, Lempira, Ocotepeque and Santa Bárbara.
In the rest of the country, light and isolated rains are forecast, with accumulations of between 5 and 10 millimetres, according to the Cenaos meteorological report.
Maximum temperatures today will range between 30 and 34 degrees Celsius, except for the department of Intibucá , where a temperature of 24 degrees Celsius is expected.
