Ukraine’s President Volodimir Zelensky has assured that US President-elect Donald Trump is capable of being decisive in ending the Russian invasion.
“Trump is capable of being decisive in this war, he can really stop Putin, or rather help us stop Putin,” Zelensky said in a nationally broadcast interview, in which he acknowledged having already had several conversations with the future US president, both in person and on the phone.
“He’s strong and unpredictable. I would very much like President Trump’s unpredictability to apply mainly to the Russian Federation. I think he really wants to end the war,” said Zelenski, who said that in his contacts with Trump “there were no negative moments” while stressing the importance of ‘building relationships’.
