Sergino Dest has ruled out a return to Barcelona, with the USMNT star saying “time will tell” when it comes to his future.

The United States international remains under contract at Camp Nou as he takes in a productive loan spell back at Eredivisie giants PSV. The Dutch-born defender has enjoyed a return to his homeland, with the regular game time that has previously been denied him at Barca and during a stint with AC Milan being found in the Netherlands
There has been plenty of speculation to suggest that a permanent move away from Catalunya will be made this summer, with the 23-year-old full-back being linked with clubs across Europe – while PSV have a purchase option that they can explore.
WHAT DEST SAID
Dest has little interest in returning to Barcelona, despite rebuilding his reputation in Eindhoven, and has said when asked about his plans for the next transfer window: “PSV are happy with me and I’m enjoying my stay here. My future? Time will tell. Barcelona? No, I want to develop. My future, wherever I am, is to play and develop.”
Dest has taken in 37 appearances for PSV this season, registering two goals and seven assists. He formed part of the United States’ triumphant CONCACAF Nations League squad in March and will be hoping to add to his haul of 33 international caps when the Copa America heads to U.S. soil this summer.
